  • I'm Heather the Owner of Goldie Lou's!

I'm a lovable, sometimes crazy quilting lady, who loves all things quilting, Loki (don't judge me) reading, singing, and game related. I'm a giant geek!

I have the distinct joy of being someone who gets to raise two wonderful kids on the Autistic Spectrum, so that's something near and dear to my heart. I have a big heart and I love with all my being.

You will often find me singing as I bake homemade cookies and breads and bopping along as I sew my heart out with my friends from the Grand Rapids Modern Quilters!
  • So you might be thinking, who is Goldie Lou?

Great question, I'm glad you asked.

This lovely lady is Goldie Louise or Goldie Lou. Goldie Lou was my paternal grandmother. She was one of the most kind and caring women I have ever known and it was her influence that helped me decide to start out selling my items in shows across the country in 2013.

My Grandmother taught me the value of making something with my hands, the joy of giving and receiving a hand made gift and more importantly she taught me that the importance of family and community. It was in her home I spent my childhood sleeping under quilts. It was with her I learned more lessons that I can count about how the simple things in life made life worth living.

It's my hope that when you visit our store either in person at a show or here virtually that you can take away a small piece of her warmth and love with you on every visit.
